Ron van Clief, known as "The Black Dragon," is a heavyweight competitor in the UFC with a professional record of 0-1-0. Van Clief has one tracked UFC appearance, making him one of the earlier figures to compete under the promotion's banner during its formative years in the 1990s.
His sole UFC bout came at UFC 4: Revenge of the Warriors on December 16, 1994, where he faced Royce Gracie and came away with a loss. Gracie was among the most dominant competitors of that era, and the matchup remains van Clief's only recorded appearance inside the UFC's octagon.
